Vasco Del Rey grew up in a remote region of Mexico and moved to America at the age of 8. Faced with the challenges of adapting to a new home and culture, Vasco found a way to express his confusion and frustrations through his art. He uses colors and typography to express what he experiences with his senses. For example, a conversation overheard nearby formed inspiration for one of Vasco’s murals. He welcomes collaboration and even lets others add their own personal touches to his murals. Through his art, Vasco seeks to convey his beliefs that we truly can create the reality we desire and that we are all capable of goodness and worthy of love and joy. Several of Vasco’s paintings are currently on display at The Artist Tree Beverly Hills.
