My name is Niko Lara and I’m a 30 year old photographer originally from the Bay Area/Northern California. I’ve been shooting photos for 14 years and started with shooting street skateboarding photos with my friends. My mom was the first person to teach me about photography and she is one of my largest influences to this day. Other creative influences of mine are Jerry Hsu and J. Grant Brittain. Now-a-days my photos revolve around intimate and fleeting moments throughout my personal life. In a way, it’s similar to shooting action/skateboarding so it feels familiar to me but the subject matter can be everchanging. I hope to continue world building and evoking feelings through my photos.
