Dispel (Benedict Wilson) was born and grew up in Northwest London where he developed an early interest in hip hop culture.
He saw his first piece of graffiti at age nine and was immediately drawn to the art form. Over the years he progressed from basic tagging (with markers) to larger, complex multicolored spray pieces.
After attending Chelsea College of Art in London, Ben moved to Los Angeles where his interest in lettering developed into a successful career as a chalkboard artist and muralist.
Ben paints regularly in Los Angeles and abroad. He currently lives and works out of his studio in Hollywood.
