Compassion Program provides free cannabis products to expand access to medical cannabis patients LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — July 31, 2026 — The Artist Tree announced today that it is expanding its Compassion Care Program to its Dixon dispensary, making free cannabis products available to qualifying medical cannabis patients and military veterans in the local community. The Dixon location joins The Artist Tree’s West Hollywood, Fresno and Laguna Woods dispensaries in offering the program, which was created to help reduce the financial barriers that can prevent patients from accessing cannabis for medicinal use. The Artist Tree developed its Compassion Program in 2025 to reflect the company’s deep roots in medical cannabis. Nearly 20 years ago, the company’s founders opened some of Los Angeles’ earliest medical cannabis dispensaries after helping their grandmother obtain cannabis during her treatment for stomach cancer.
