Calista Rain is an artist whose practice explores the connection between nature, emotion, and the human experience. Having painted since childhood, she draws deeply from flora and fauna, with flowers and animals recurring throughout her work.
A formative experience came when she spent time living in the Utah desert through a wilderness therapy program. The isolation and immersion in nature profoundly shaped her relationship with the natural world and continues to influence her artistic practice.
Through her paintings, Calista explores the challenge of expressing emotion through nature, creating work that invites viewers to pause, escape the everyday, and simply feel.
