Joan K. Sharma received her MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington, and her BFA from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She furthered her studies with a year in Rome, Italy, and a summer at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Having lived in Switzerland and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, India, and Bhutan, Sharma developed a deep appreciation for the diversity and interconnectedness of the global community.
