Cereal Milk is a relative newcomer compared to most of the strains people consider modern classics, first appearing on dispensary menus around 2019. It was developed by Powerzzzup Genetics working in close collaboration with the Cookies brand, the same California operation behind Girl Scout Cookies, Gelato, and Biscotti.
Here’s a quick snapshot of the Cereal Milk strain:
Type: Hybrid (roughly 50% indica, 50% sativa)
THC Range: 18%–25%
Dominant Terpenes: Caryophyllene, Limonene, and Myrcene
Aroma: Sweet cream and vanilla with a faint doughy undertone
Cereal Milk quickly became a Cookies flagship release, and its popularity hasn’t slowed down since. The strain even won awards in California cannabis competitions, including second place in the High Times Cannabis Cup SoCal People’s Choice award in 2020.
Genetically, it’s a cross of two Cookies-family strains: Y Life (itself a cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Cherry Pie) and Snowman, a resinous, high-frost phenotype of GSC.
THC typically lands between roughly 18% and 25%, with variance depending on the specific cultivator and cut.
Cereal Milk grows dense, rounded buds in olive green tones, threaded with bright orange pistils and finished with a thick, glassy coat of trichomes that gives the flower a slightly milky sheen. The aroma is reminiscent of milk left in a bowl of sugary cereal, backed by vanilla with a touch of citrus brightness, and a soft, almost buttery finish.
