At The Artist Tree, we believe in the power of community — and 2025 was a year of turning that belief into action. From wildfire recovery efforts to blood drives, art supply donations, and fundraisers for meaningful causes, we’re grateful to everyone who joined us in giving back.

Here’s a look at what we accomplished together:

January — Painting a Path to Recovery: Wildfire Relief Fund

Together, we came together to support those affected by the 2025 California Wildfires through Painting a Path to Recovery: The Artist Tree Wildfire Fund, benefiting the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate over $40,000 to help provide housing, mental health care, medical assistance, and essential supplies to wildfire victims — with a focus on underserved communities across LA County, including low-income families, seniors, single parents, immigrants, and unhoused residents.

Your support made a real difference in helping families rebuild, heal, and find hope after unimaginable loss. From everyone at The Artist Tree, thank you for being part of this effort and showing what community care truly looks like.

February — Supporting the California Black Freedom Fund

During the month of February the Artist Tree participated in a fundraiser for the California Black Freedom Fund. A non-profit that invests in the leaders and organizations at the center of Black communities, advancing people-led solutions to secure the future all people deserve. We donated a portion of every sale of The Artist Tree branded products in February and were able to raise $4000 for the California Black Freedom Fund.

February — Blood Drive with Central California Blood Center

Also in February – we partnered with Central California Blood Center at our Fresno location on Palm Ave. All customers who donated blood received an 1/8th of California Love flower. Our Fresno blood drives are extremely meaningful to the Fresno community and result in 200 local lives saved every year!.

May – Valley Teen Ranch

In May, The Artist Tree was honored to support Valley Teen Ranch, which provides housing, mental health resources and vocational training, and life skills development resources to underserved youth in Central California.

June — Pride Month Fundraisers

For the month of the June The Artist Tree organized a Loud and Proud event alongside Ashlee Belzo founder of “Girls, Gays and Theys”. The event featured drag shows, brand activations, and a vendor village at The Artist Tree in West Hollywood. We were able to contribute $5,000 for wayOUT, a non-profit that empowers grassroots organizations to make a lasting, positive impact for LGBTQ+ youth across the nation.

At our Hawthorne location we partnered with PFLAG of Manhattan Beach to raise money and support their mission of building a culture of inclusiveness, engagement and equality. A portion of proceeds of Artist Tree product sales were donated to PFLAG through the support of our customers, we were able to raise $2,500.

The Artist Tree also served as a major sponsor of the annual Fresno Rainbow Pride event.

July – Boys & Girls Club Christmas in July Event

The Artist Tree joined the fun at Fresno’s 2025 Christmas in July Run, helping spread cheer while giving back to the community. Our team handed out supplies, kept the energy high as the event MC, and donated $5,000 to support local initiatives. It was a joyful day blending holiday spirit, summer sunshine, and community connection.

August — Art Supply Drive with Junior High

During the month of August we partnered with Junior High, a local non-profit gallery space. All Artist Tree locations participated by collecting art supplies for students, raising $2000 worth of Art supplies, which were donated to the Alexandria House. Their mission is to provide safe and supportive housing for women and children experiencing homelessness and trauma.

August — School Supply Drive in Fresno

At our Fresno locations, just in time for Back-to-School, The Artist Tree partnered with Fresno Community Link and Council Member Annalisa Perea from District 1 to collect school supplies for students in need. Our guests generously donated backpacks, packs of pencils and pens, and anything else a student might need. The Artist Tree rewarded our generous donors with premium products from trusted brands as our way of saying thanks.

August – Stay Gold Foundation for Youth Literacy

In August, we also supported literacy efforts in the Fresno area serving as a sponsor of the Stay Gold Foundation Literacy Night.

September — Last Prisoner Project Fundraiser

In September, we were proud to partner with Last Prisoner Project, whose mission is to free every last cannabis prisoner and repair the harms caused by decades of unjust cannabis criminalization. Supporting their work is more than a cause — it’s a responsibility. Through educational events, fundraising efforts, and community outreach, The Last Prisoner Project is committed to using their platform to raise awareness and amplify the voices of those still impacted by outdated laws.

For every package of The Artist Tree gummies purchased in September, we donated $1 to Last Prisoner Project, resulting in a donation of $5,000 dollars.

November – Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaways and Food Drives

The Artist Tree served as a sponsor of Thanksgiving events this November to provide turkeys and other food supplies to families in need in Hawthorne, Fresno, and Oceanside. All The Artist Tree stores are also currently collecting food donations for nonprofits throughout the state of California for our November Food Drive. During November, we hosted a food drive across all Artist Tree locations and collected over 750 pounds of food thanks to the generosity of our community. The donations were distributed to local hunger-relief partners including Central California Food Bank, Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino, Food Share, North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, South County Outreach, Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano, Healing Los Angeles Together, and Yolo Food Bank.

Beautifying the Community

The Artist Tree provided much needed funds via a $20,000 grant to the Fresno Unified School District, to fund a mural on the Farber school campus by local artist Omar Huerta, which is scheduled to be completed by late 2025.

Additional Efforts

Our amazing team members have participated in numerous volunteer activities throughout the year. Members from our corporate and Hawthorne teams have volunteered numerous times at the Redondo Beach Esplanade monthly beach clean ups. Our Laguna Woods team also spearheaded a local beach clean up in June, which focused not only on keeping the beach clean, but also on promoting environmental awareness highlighting the connection between nature and cannabis wellness. Special shoutout to our cannabis brands sponsors who provided us with goodie bags for every volunteer.

Compassion Year Round

The Artist Tree Compassion Program provides free or low-cost cannabis products to qualified medical patients facing financial hardship. The program is designed to support wellness, equity, and access, ensuring patients who rely on cannabis for medical relief can continue their care regardless of income. Through partnerships with compassionate care organizations and donations from brands, The Artist Tree has been able to provide thousands of items to medical patients in need.

A Look Ahead

Every event, fundraiser, and collaboration in 2025 was made possible because of you — our customers, partners, featured artists, and neighbors. Through the support of our customers we were able to contribute to a number of incredible causes and give back to local communities in every city where we operate. Thank you for being part of The Artist Tree family and helping us create positive change, one project at a time. Here’s to more creativity, connection, and community impact in 2026.
