Luna (Angela Luna) is a California mixed-media artist who creates paintings through layers of hand-painted papers, vintage imagery, collage, and acrylic. Rather than working from a predetermined plan, she builds each piece intuitively, adding, covering, repainting, and rediscovering until the composition gradually reveals itself.
Working with botanical imagery, animal forms, and organic shapes, her paintings are inspired by nature and by the way patience, curiosity, and surprise influence the creative process. The many layers are intentionally left visible, revealing painted papers, collage, texture, and small details that reward a closer look. Much of that magic is best experienced in person.
For more than fifteen years, Luna has worked as an Expressive Arts Therapist, where she has witnessed the power of creativity to help people heal and reconnect with themselves. That same belief carries into her studio practice, where play, curiosity, and intuition guide the creative process.
Rising in Bloom is an ongoing series of mixed-media paintings about the beauty of becoming.
