Food is life. A satisfying meal can ease your mind and nourish your soul. In many ways, COVID-19 has redefined the notion of comfort food, and restaurant meals provide a sense of normalcy. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has been disastrous for the entire restaurant community in West Hollywood, throughout California, and across the nation. West Hollywood is home to some of the best, most vibrant restaurant experiences in the Greater Los Angeles area. When Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the original “Shelter At Home” orders in March 2020, restaurants and other businesses suddenly found themselves without customers walking in the doors. Many ramped up their takeout and delivery services, while some provided limited grocery and beverage sales. Some expanded their partnerships with popular takeout apps such as Postmates, Door Dash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub. As COVID cases began to decline, the city slowly stirred to life when Governor Newsom allowed limited re-openings after May 29, but it didn’t last long. On July 11, Governor Newsom ordered the reclosure of Los Angeles County dine-in services due to rising cases of COVID-19 patients.
We support our friends and neighbors in the local restaurant business. We want to help keep their doors open, and encourage you to check out the list of amazing, COVID-friendly dining options below. And while you’re planning a relaxing evening at home with dinner from a local restaurant, don’t forget to include your favorite cannabis products from The Artist Tree West Hollywood Dispensary. It’s a perfect combination.
A good meal by dining in, takeout, or delivery is immensely satisfying, perhaps more now than ever, because we cannot indulge in other experiences during COVID. If you’re able to help, please support the chefs, managers, baristas, bartenders, waiters, waitresses, cooks, and kitchen staff who provide a little bit of pleasure in our lives. Not only will you be well-fed, but you’ll feel good about it.
